The college bases eligibility on physical residence. No New England state made either roster: not the 14 states for the NP options, and not the 21 for the RN to BSN. The approved states guide names them all.

The Granite State's nursing landscape
Licensing here sits with the Board of Nursing, part of the state's Office of Professional Licensure and Certification. NCSBN shows New Hampshire's compact membership in effect since 2018; the APRN Compact is not law here. AANP rates the state full practice.
Large employers include Elliot Health System, Catholic Medical Center, Concord Hospital, Southern New Hampshire Health and Dartmouth Health, the system behind Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. Population is heaviest around Manchester-Nashua, Concord, and the southern towns the census folds into Greater Boston.
New Hampshire's placement rule, and who it covers
New Hampshire's distance-education rule for pre-licensure programs, Nur 602.15(j), asks a school from another state to tell the board in advance that it plans to use local facilities, then to post each placement six weeks ahead. The paperwork runs to a yearly petition (Form A), a placement form per rotation (Part B) and a signed preceptor agreement per preceptor.
Graduate and RN-completion programs sit outside that rule; the licensing office says the board does not regulate RN-BSN or RN-MSN programs. One copy of the rule shows it expiring in January 2026, although the office was still citing it that month. For UCCS applicants, the residency rule settles things before any of this matters.

Florida is the lone NP-list state on the Atlantic side of the country; New York, much closer, is on the RN to BSN list alone. License fit matters as well, since UCCS's handbook expects a multistate license in compact states and a state-issued RN license everywhere else, as the license guide lays out.

Questions UCCS students ask
Could I start UCCS's online PMHNP track while living in New Hampshire?
No. The PMHNP track follows the same 14-state residency rule as UCCS's other NP options, and its students may use providers only in approved states, even for telehealth. Relocating to a listed state is the route in. UCCS makes every admission call, so check the specifics with the college before you set a timeline.
Does New Hampshire's out-of-state clinical rule apply to UCCS?
The rule is written for schools preparing students for first licensure, and the state's licensing office says the board leaves RN-completion programs unregulated. Whether it would reach a graduate NP program is not answered on the board's pages. For UCCS the point is moot, because the university draws NP students only from its listed states.
Which UCCS-listed state is nearest to New Hampshire?
For the RN to BSN, New York is the closest listed state. For the NP programs, Florida is the only one along the East Coast; the rest are spread across the West, the Southwest and the Plains. Picking among them usually turns on licensing, practice rules and where you hope to live after graduation.
Will my New Hampshire compact license cover UCCS hours after I move?
Check with the new state's board about your license as part of the move. From there, UCCS's handbook asks for a multistate license when your hours fall in a compact state and for that state's own RN license when they fall in a non-compact state such as Alaska, California or Nevada.
